The Mighty Dragon celebrates

It seems as if Chinese New Year is off to a flying start already on The Mighty Dragon! The Year of the Pig saw the blog smash through a whopping 50,000 views and I couldn’t be more pleased with this progress in one year.

Its helped me so much as a writer and reaching out in the turbulent world of social media and online communication.Β  This blog isn’t perfect, but neither am I, but that’s fine, as someone much wiser than I said “One of the basic rules of the Universe is that nothing is perfect. Perfection simply doesn’t exist, without imperfection neither you nor I would exist”.

I’ve met some incredible people on this journey, writers, friends and a huge network of creative folk who I am indebted to for their continued support along my journey and whatever this all leads to. Special thanks are to Anna, Craig, Maarit, Alan, Allie, David AH and Audrey – you’ve all been so supportive to me. I’d also like to say a big thanks to big Mike – absolute top bloke.

Spring brings the launch of my new Eye on China series where I will be looking further into this exciting film industry – interviews, reviews and more.Β  I will be featuring my Bob Wall interview this Thursday, yes that’s right Bob Wall, someone I have watched for 40 years about 50,000 times in Enter The Dragon.

As I head off to the Belgium/German border for a well deserved rest, mountains of sausages and beer I wanted to leave you all with a quote from my favourite poet as we head too in Valentines.

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

Lord Byron
