Its been quite a year already, my trip back to my old home, Hong Kong and re-arranging my story and really pushing myself as a writer.
Autumn brings with it a sense of reflection for me and that’s what I am doing right now, staring out at the clouds and the beautiful shimmery sunlight looking back at this year as we enter the final few months.
Personally my return trip back to my old home Hong Kong brought back so many happy memories. A familiar place but wow, so many changes. To see what is happening there now is truly heartbreaking – I’ve been very concerned for my friends and colleagues caught up in it. With my hand on my heart, I can truly say it’s one of the safest places I have been to – so seeing it now blows my mind.
Working with a script consultant has been a real turning point for me this year too and is by far the best decision I have made to progress my story. Rearranging it and discarding the bulk of what wasn’t important has left it in a state where it’s ready to be sent out to festivals and production companies. That’s what I have been busy doing that and other plans in which gives me more control of its direction. This excites me more I must admit.
I’ve so enjoyed living within this whole story creation that I feel quite lost at this point being out of that world. But also I know how crucial this next stage is. Wish me luck.
