With this blog I am aiming to document my journey into a new writing area, a TV mini-series. You can hold my shaking hand as I go through the highs and lows of the creation process until the whole series is written and delivered on a plate. Whose plate exactly remains to be seen.
Share with me some fun on research, locations, interviews and much more as I forge ahead into this unknown territory and hopefully have some fun on the way.
Why am I doing this? I have been an amateur writer for many years, mainly for theatre. Having enjoyed multiple workshops, groups and online courses over the years and writing mainly for my own pleasure, I have decided now is the time to crank it up a level and start doing this for real, script-writing, for TV.
Who am I? I work in TV already, but not as a writer, this has always been a hobby. I’m a Mum to Mia, wife to Mr Thomas, daughter and friend to a trusted few and a traveller at heart, nothing excites me more than having my passport in my hand and off to trot somewhere new.
Who knows where it may lead. But one thing that is important is that I enjoy what I have written and can be proud of it. That’s all that has ever mattered, but if I don’t try now during my mid-life crisis when will I? May as well be now.
